Stuck in Paris? 10 Things to Do

paris-canal-stmartin_2380_600x450.jpgAs a public service for people who are volcano-waylaid in Paris, cookbook author and pastry chef David Lebovitz has compiled a list of his top ten things to do if you happen to be stranded in his adopted city. His suggestions range from the delicious to the decadent, and include activities that are not expensive, such as exploring via city bus transit pass or picking up picnic fixings from one of the many Parisian outdoor markets. If you’re running out of money, you could eat at one of his favorite crêperies.

You can follow the entertaining Lebovitz on Twitter and on his blog, Living the Sweet Life in Paris. His most recent book is The Sweet Life in Paris, but his upcoming chocolate tours are, unfortunately, sold out.

Whether you’re stuck in Paris, or would just like to be “stuck” for a while, check out Traveler’s free, online Ultimate City Guide to the French capital, which includes hotels, restaurants, cultural tips, and must-dos.

Oh to be stuck in Paris! I lived there for a year on student’s budget, and still had tons of things left to see when I left. Nonetheless, suggestions are always welcome. ;-)
