really sorry I saw this so late… I would put Bulgarian rocks from Belogradtchick… they also look great! Not that the present selection is bad ;), I really like it! Especially Taj Mahal and Machu Pucchu, I have a strong affection for them, they helped me a lot to write a book or 2 of mine… The Love that could create such a great miracle like Taj Mahal (or change a whole world, defeat the most horrible armies, make nations happy, etc. as it happened in my books) is worth more than all the treasure in the world!

These photos are breathtaking! It truly gives one the travel bug to go out and explore. There are so many amazing places all over the world that aren’t included here. For example the US: their many national parks. Small Islands, eg. Bonnaire: snorkeling in brine water with upside down jellyfish and multiple species of fish. Costa Rica: Cloud and Rain forests (not to mention sportfishing). Czech Republik: amazing and beautiful buildings and castles. Japan: tsuskiji fish market. I’ve yet to visit a destination that hasn’t stirred some sort of emotion and feeling from me.

    Taj Mahal, India
    Great Barrier Reef, Australia
    Machu Picchu, Peru
The most striking thing about the Taj, is the contrast between it and the extreme poverty that surrounds it.

Facebook and Twitter are sadly blocked in mainland China and the English web of National Geography site has little coverage in China. So I do think a majority population’s voice has not been heard. We could have also vote for Great wall presented for our country or other sites.
China has massive place, and some attractions are not well known for western countries. But I can list some heritages or nature beauties included but not limited such as:
    Terra cotta warriors in Xi’an
    Forbidden city/summer palace in Beijing
Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon in Tibet
    Loulan in Xingjiang
    Mogao Caves in Gansu
    Chama(Tea horse )Ancient Route
    Lugu Lake in Yunnan
