Each participant picks an assignment: (photography, marine biology, filmmaking, community service, creative writing, wildlife conservation are some of the choices), and are guided over the 10-day to 3-week trip by National Geographic trip leaders and experts to produce a final project that they can share with family and friends (or college admissions officers).
