- The U.S. Transportation Security Administration will launch a “trusted traveler” pilot program this fall designed to shorten the security screening process for frequent travelers who first pass extensive background checks. A survey by the U.S. Travel Association indicates that 61 percent of leisure travelers and 75 percent of business travelers would be willing to pay upward of $150 annually to enroll in this kind of program.
