Where’s Andrew?
Announcing Our Digital Nomad’s Next Adventure
Have you found our Digital Nomad? Andrew Evans hit the road last Friday just over a week after returning from Japan, and he kept his followers guessing on Twitter about his new mystery location. If you haven’t figured it out, here are some clues . . . .
@WheresAndrew: Just landed. Stepped off the plane & into a warm wet bath of air. My summer just got a little bit longer.
Curaçao? Venezuela? Nope.
@WheresAndrew: Hot. Sunny. Green. Flags fly. Music in the air: Aretha Franklin’s “How I Got Over.” Suddenly feel like dropping my bags & dancing.
A relatively short flight. Are you in Central America?
@WheresAndrew: Yes, a short flight but not in Central America.
Miami? Texas? Guess again.
@WheresAndrew: Palm trees. Water fountains. Concrete. Trucks & bumper stickers. Hitting the highway.
@WheresAndrew: Driving thru fields of sugarcane. Sun shines into my eyes but strange rain splatters the windshield. Life-size Jesus statue in front yard.
@WheresAndrew: White egret in the long grass. Cool, comfortable evening breeze. Birds chirp w/ conversation. Houses decorated for Halloween.
Louisiana? YES!
I’m in #Louisiana & I’m here to stay (for a good while at least)! SO thrilled to be in America’s most unique state. Who’s up for some South?
You guessed it! Our Digital Nomad is back on U.S. soil, exploring the great state of Louisiana. Andrew will be sharing his discoveries with you in real time– on Twitter, Facebook, and his Digital Nomad blog. Follow his every tweet, every succulent crawfish, each Zydeco beat, and learn about the people and places that make Louisiana a country all to its own.
In case you missed it, catch up on Andrew’s first impressions of French Louisiana:
@WheresAndrew: It took y’all so long to figure it out, let me catch you up. 1st, I flew over Lake Pontchartrain: http://twitpic.com/6wovvu #Louisiana
@WheresAndrew: Landed next to this giant green bayou: http://twitpic.com/6wowfo Then crossed the Mississippi http://twitpic.com/6wox0x #Louisiana
@WheresAndrew: Oh yeah, already found my dog: http://twitpic.com/6wp0k6 “Hartley” named after the kicker for the New Orleans Saints. #Louisiana #football
@WheresAndrew: That’s what I’m here to do! Who’s hungry? RT @libelletage: I have always wanted to go to Louisiana! And eat!
Andrew has already eaten gumbo, gone fishing, shucked oysters, and met several local characters from the heart of Creole Country. Watch his first video dispatch (here) and keep up with him on online (the Digital Nomad community was recently named a finalist in the 2011 Folio Magazine Eddie Awards.)
Trust us, you won’t want to miss a tweet.
