Vosges Haut-Chocolat: The White Chocolate “Collection”
From LtoR:
Hip-Hop: Krug® Champagne + edible gold leaf + white chocolate truffle
This decadent truffle combines white chocolate, Krug ® Champagne and gold leaf—echoing rap’s transition from music to a culture of “bling” popularized in the late 1990s and early 2000s
Ambrosia: Macadamia nuts + Cointreau + white chocolate.
Cocoa butter imparts the smoothest, sweetest, lightest flavor to white chocolate, allowing this truffle to literally melt in your mouth.
Olio d’Oliva: First press extra virgin olive oil + white chocolate + dried kalamata olives
Unfortunately for me, I am allergic to cocoa. This means I couldn’t partake in many of Vosges offerings (including the famed Black Pearl Exotic Candy Bar and Mo’s Milk Chocolate Bacon Bar). However, not all was lost as Vosges carry a trio of white chocolate (no cocoa) truffles (meaning it couldn’t harm my wallet nor waistline too much) which I gladly picked up to try. Interesting combinations (I’ve had the white chocolate with olives bar before and didn’t particularly enjoy it) and although none were real winners (it’s all about the mouthfeel and aromatic creaminess of the base for me) it was still fun to sample.
